Sitka deer are common to the coastal rainforests of southeast Alaska, and their habitat extends to British Columbia. They are no endangered animals and hunting is not prohibited. They are herbivores and feed on twigs, leaves, forbs, ferns, sedges, algae, fruit, and other vegetation.
